    What is this boat?

Oh... and don't get me wrong... I value all input, and I understand what people are saying and why. If this were my first project I might walk away... I almost did when I picked it up... but then... I didnt... ha

    What is this boat?

Bring out another tool. All I'm saying is I enjoy this kind of stuff. This boat is far from a candidate for total restoration but this will definitely help prepare me for when I do come across the right one.

    What is this boat?

Maybe... lol. I don't think it much matters though... especially when you don't actually have the money to dump into it that you speak of.

    What is this boat?

I'm definitely going to explore this boat. If nothing else I'll have it prepped for the next guy. I'll have this thing reliable and on the water for less the a grand. It won't be restored to a show boat but will hold its own at the boat launch and guaranteed to inspire someone or at the very...

    What is this boat?

Well it's aluminum so suppose I'll go for it... here's the details I found out. It's a '65 lone star sovereign 19ft. They came as an i/o or outboard. This one was an outboard... this is not a factory i/o. The hull for this thing is interesting... and a true testament to boat building in the...

    What is this boat?

Entire boat has a fiberglass inlay. Still no verification of what's under it. Still no tags. Engine serial number is in the 64-72 year range.

    What is this boat?

Oh... and there's wood... it's rotten... but... if it's a lone star they were built with a special hull... like specially matched tires to hit the pace car. I'm pretty sure the stringers are an aluminum channel... like a unibody w/frame construction. I haven't verified that with this boat yet.

    What is this boat?

Somehow the guy got it registered as a "mercury boat"... I have the paperwork. Must've begged the right person on the right day... he bought it with out paperwork. Pa fish commission is usually pretty strict or they just don't care to help and make you go through all the hoops to register...

    What is this boat?

Nah... I was assured she runs great and everything was replaced when it was last used... 😆 it's going to require a good tear down... I might find more out about the boat by looking at the construction as well. I've only had it a couple days at the moment.

    What is this boat?

Hello, I measured it at 19' . The cruiseliners I've seen have been 24'. The lone stars also have the notch in the nose for an anchor rope. The raised portion around the cabin also throws me off and also makes me think mid 60s... towards the end of the 60s most were flat I believe. I've...

    What is this boat?

This boat looks to be mid 60s to me. The only marking on it is a lone star emblem on the steering wheel. I thought, ok, it's a lone star... but I have not been able to find one like it.
