Fishing was OK, 5 keepers among the three boats. After the fact, some locals told us the fish the main channel at daybreak for the best results. I don't know about hotels, we are within driving distance.
When I converted my carpeted bunks to my new roller bunks, I noticed that the brackets thatconect the bunks to the trailer were adjustable heightwise. I was able to lower the boat about 2", every bit helps.
Looks good and strong! I built one out of thin 3/4" PVC last year and it work great all winter and spring, but when the south Georgia heat hit during the summer it collapsed and turned into a pile of white spaghetti. I rebuilt it using metal this time :D .
I used L1.5"x1.5"x .125" structural angles on most of my build. When I ran them left to right, length of about 3'-4", the angle flexed more than I wanted so I put a leg at the centerpoint to the floor and it was much stiffer. My point is 4'-8" is a long span and might require more bracing or...
I used 3/8" on my decks with the joists about 12" o.c. I add a extra layer about 12"x12"x3/8" under where the seat mounts and my deck feels pretty solid. You can cut alot of weight using the thinner plywood, a good thing in a 1436.

I have a bracket that holds it on the vertical side of one of the bench seats.
One thing I like about my Minn Kota is the fin is on the front of the motor unit thus providing me a nice bit of protection for my depth finder's transducer. Fin, then transduscer then prop. The MG's fin is on the back near the propeller. This might not pertain to you but it is why I'll stay...
