6 gauge wire is probably best, depending on the length of the run. On the tarp, get a quality boat cover. Over time, you'll spend less on a boat cover than you will replacing tarps. Aurora will make a cover to fit.
Awesome boat! If you need help finding a starter, let me know. I work for a parts company and we have store in Indiana, shouldn't be very hard to find it for you and might be able to get you a pretty good deal.
I've gone back and forth probably a hundred times and I can't make up my mind...carpet or tuff coat? I'm leaning towards the tuff coat for two reasons: 1) The lake I usually fish doesn't have a boat ramp and I always track a little mud in the boat when launching. I like the idea of using the...
I feel your pain! Electrical troubles can be extremely confusing and I'm no expert. Here's what I'd do: Check the wiring on your lights and make sure you don't have a cut(s) in the insulation first. Then, check your lights for corrosion or damage. I'm saying this without knowing how the...
Thanks!
I'll probably spend most of my time on the 100 acre lake in my subdivision. But, I'm sure I'll hit a big lake every once in a while and maybe a river or two. I plan on keeping the boat electric so I won't be going far from a boat ramp.
Nice boat, I'm probably going to get the same this weekend. I haven't decided between the 1440M and 1448T, but one or the other will be in my garage soon enough. What made you decide on the 1448?
I think your carpet looks fine too. I'm no expert, but the trick I learned on carpet is work slow and use good adhesive. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have invested in that front deck? I'm going to start a jon project in the near future, so I need to know now what it'll take to...
Hey everyone! I've been looking at jon boats lately and upgrading one. I stumbled on this site and it sure looks like a winner. I had a '04 Triton bass boat and unfortunately had to sell it last year when I moved to GA. I thought I'd be stepping down by going to a jon, but it appears I was...
