on a recent trip i saw a gentleman in one of those pond prowler boats, he actualy rigged up a bracket in the back to slide down a 4' oar in the water to act as a rudder. It was a pretty slick deal...

thanks for the tips guys...i think im just going to replace them..like i said ive had them on for 5 years and they have had no maintainence..another ? for ya..should the size of the bearings be marked on the existing bearings i have??? im not sure of the size, i know they make a 1" and a 1 1/16 "

trailer bearings....

I have had my boat and trailer 5 years now. I have no bearing buddies, or any type of grease fittings. How long should a set of bearings last ? I know i need to take them out and repack them, but should i go aghead and replace them ?? ideas please!!

mann's 4" inch grape flat tail worm rocked back in the day. bout 1982 i quess. we would fish them on a weedless hook with no worm weight. slide them in and out of the cattails. Dad and I loaded the stringer in those days.

backpain, i have the same mounts in my boat. i have the front mounted thru a 3/4" piece of ply-wood. it doesn't budge, an i'm pushing 280lbs. double fluke rig

i have fished the double fluke rig for several years now. i have doubled up a few times mostly on smallies and small stripers. let me give you one very important tip. well i was winterizing my boat yesterday, and began trying to remove the old oil filter. It wouldnt budge...I went to advance auto and got the smallest metal strap filter wrench they had, I broke it trying to remove the filter. LOL...bassboy that reminds me of when I was moving last summer..It was our last trip from the old house to the new. I loaded up the boat with all my tools from the garage, battery charger, and assorted other crap. I had the bed of the truck loaded down as well. It was like bill dance met the clampet...
