The Outboard Jet Rock Ejector

Interesting new stomp grate for outboard jets. This one has a remote lever. The only other outboard stomp grate I've seen, you still had a lever on the motor.

If you haven't seen some of Dennis Bohannan videos, check them out.

Etec G2 Jets are Finally Ready to Go!

WOW over 600 lb-ft of torqe. I'm loving the power and efficiency of new high tech engines. Vehicles too. The problem comes when they develop a problem even the dealers have a problem figuring out. My mercury was in the shop three time before they replaced the ECM. I finally found a bolt that had wor...

98 johnson 50 hp spl any good

If I am not mistaken the motor weighs around 190#. That boat is rated for a 30HP motor. His boat, he can do as he pleases. As far as the motor they were good motors, but I'll promise you on a jet it will be loud and a fuel hog, count on that. I don't disagree with you too much. The Yamaha 40 hp is ...

98 johnson 50 hp spl any good

You better have a darn big fuel tank. Not to mention that will be quite a bit of weight hanging off the back of that boat, I have one. You will most certainly have to make sure to keep as much of your stuff to the front of the boat or it will have a heavy list to the back. I have a 96 Evinrude 50 h...

Flood lights

I rarely run at night but I got one of these and mounted it on a large ram mount with a clamp and cigarette lighter plug. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T8UY1JY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm sure it's Chinese, but it works for my limited needs. Just FYI, It's illegal to ...

Boat capacity plate

I replaced the capacity sticker on my pontoon when I rebuilt it. There are plenty of companies that make replacement stickers. If you can't find someone that has the same boat (with exact capacities) I would think a new one of the same length/brand would be close enough. 2019 TRACKER® PRO 160 Length...

Aluminum "Kayak"

A few years ago, someone ofn the forum showed some floatation tubes he'd cobbled for his jon. I've had a 10 ft jon, and never felt safe in it. With a 29 pound 3 hp Evinrude on the back, no fuel tank, and my (at the time) less than ample butt, there was about a 2-3 inch distance from hull top to wat...

Aluminum "Kayak"

I've been in an 8 ft jon boat and a kayak. I feel safer in a kayak. I have a 12 ft jon that feels pretty safe. My golden rule for kayaking is to tether everything as if you are going to tip over. I would definitely do that with an 8 ft jon. That said, it's $50. you can't beat that. It would just be ...

OB Props with HUGE 'holes' in the blade surface ... faster to spool up, plane & WOT!

Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. The test results are impressive. Sadly, the cost is $4,500 for the alum model. Double that for the SS model. I don't want to be a killjoy, but paying about thirty times the cost of a traditional prop is too rich for me. First customers would definitely be...

Can trailer bunk replacement

One man should be able to do it.
An extra 2X4 and one or two bottle jacks, maybe a couple of cinder blocks.
Lift just enough to slide old bunk out.
Do one side at a time.
