Hay Seaarc, Talk about sharp. I just now noticed you're from the Great State also. When you get your plastic boat going, try a trip down to the Peabody. You get a map with the $10 annual user fee and it's a blast just driving around trying to pick the next place to fish. Good Luck. Well yes I am. G...

A tiller is a must-have if you put your trolling motor on the bow. These boats a light in the stern and swing uncontrolably from side to side. I'm good with tillers but not so good with pics, sorry. What you end up with is the paddle shaft where the trolling motor shaft would be. You can unclamp fo...

I'm on my second one of these little babys and I can tell you I've caught more and bigger fish out of these then my big boat ever came close to. The one thing I did that made all the difference in the world as far as a mod goes was to put my trolling motor in the front and a tiller in the rear (bow...

I'm not sure if your referring to rod strap holders or pole holders used during trolling or catfishing. But anyways I mounted 2 Rod Saver velcro straps on each side of the boat to secure my rods. Also mounted a fish finder onto a small square plywood and mounted the plywood onto the front left rail...

I know guys this is a tin boat forum, but I'm sure there are some guys with plastic boats here too. Show me what kinds of mods yall have done to them. I'm looking for a good way to mount some rod holders and a graph. I've got some ideas but would like to see some others too.

Thanks guys for all the comments. I am planning to buy a new Shimano Citica soon and I will try the McCoy 12# mean green I bought on it. If I really like the real as much as I think I will I am going to buy another and that one I will try the fluoro 15# red lable on it.

I bought a roll of McCoy "MEAN GREEN" Xtreme line this week on a recomendation of a guy that guides on Lake Ocachoby in FL(not sure about that spelling but you know what I mean). He says it has virtually no memory to it and he has been using it for 5 years and really likes it. Anyone else have any e...

which boat should I choose

Thats for the help. Seaarc, thanks for the link. Now with that mini jacker, what is the other piece in the photo from th marine? It looks like a block of wood divided into 4 pieces. My brother in law is a welder, so I was going to have him fabricate me one of these beauties out of stainless. I wasn...

which boat should I choose

Here's a link to what I used for my long shaft motor.https://www.thmarine.com/product.cfm?PRID=23

You can look in my gallery to see pics of it and my console. Not too hard to do this and it works great. Give me a holla if you have any questions.
