Zero Degree Transom Deadrise

Anyone own an aluminum, soft chine, deep-V boat with a zero degree deadrise transom?
If so, please post the make and model year.
Note: Deep-V hull
Thx

Boat seat help

I went both ways . . . I have 3" foam on all my bench seats which has snap covers so I can easily remove them to store inside (the boat is always stored outside), then I have one swivel drivers seat that goes thru the foam and can be removed at night while camping.

Winterizing your outboard

This is how I "winterized" my tin at Lake Mead earlier this week . . . add plenty of fresh fuel and top off the sunscreen. #-o #-o #-o
(shorter days means adding driving lights . . . oh the pain)

What did you use and how did you do it, to get the bare metal bright finish?

What style and grit wheel did you use to get the bare bright finish? I prefer the bare polished aluminum look. Need to do mine.

If you don't take it . . . ask him if he'll take a short-shaft 1987 Nissan NS15B (15HP 2-stroke) for the same deal? [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

(Am I missing something here? Who's getting the $100)

Vintage Boat Motors and Parts Craiglist ad

One man's opinion, but . . . . unless you have the proper vintage boat to go with the vintage motor, seems kinda pointless. Does this mean my 1987 aluminum boat and motor (matched set) are both 25 years old this year and therefore vintage?? :?

1983 johnson 15 hp gas milage?

My 1987 Nissan 15HP 2-stroke short shaft got 60 miles this weekend on a 6.3 gallon tank.
I tend to cover some distances and these numbers were at WOT.

Rocket stove!

Found a 10# fire extinguisher over the weekend and was considering building a stove out of it. Pretty heavy duty as it's rated for 550psi. What I'd really like to do though is make a pellet stove out of it that burns sawdust, fed by a miniature clockwork auger.

Maintenace free deep cycle battery

One's about as good as another . . . I go with the Autozone Dual Purpose deep cycle and the key seems to be keeping it on a float charger ($4.95 Harbor Freight) after the recharge after every use. P.S. If you don't do any trolling but just starting and running there is a true LIFETIME battery availa...
