Home made mask info

I saw it mentioned about using the blue shop towels as filters.
One thing that I have noticed with people wearing masks, if they aren't worn properly, and don't seal, they might as well not be wearing anything and offer little to no protection.

Corona Virus

I'm also in the "high risk" group if I were to contract coronavirus. We aren't that far from NYC and Philadelphia, it irks me that people are driving 80-100 miles away from those areas looking for toilet paper, seems like they don't give a darn about possibly spreading the virus just as long as they...

Big Score this Morning

Could it be ---- it's scaring the crap out of everyone! :LOL2:
Agree with CedarRiver, if everyone just bought what they needed , when they need it, there would be plenty to go around for everyone just like before the coronavirus scare.

New Jet Motor advice for 16’ Xpress

4 people and gear, current, I would go with the biggest option.
I have a 40/30 Yamaha on a 16' MV Tracker GRIZZLY, it is OK, but if the boat were rated for more than 40hp there would be a 60/40 on it, Pa goes by the powerhead hp.

Where to fish for snakeheads in Eastern Pa.

Google> where to catch snakeheads in pa. It looks like the Schuylkill or Delaware rivers may be a place for a possibility.
I have heard of some being caught in the Delaware, but I think they are few and far between.

Inside a Nuclear Sub in the Med Sea

Thanks for sharing that LDUBS, I worked around them everyday for 2 years serving on a sub tender (USS Simon Lake AS-33), and later as part of COMSUBRON 14. I never got a full tour, but was on the mess deck of two of them and got to look through a periscope. They are way more roomy inside than the ol...

Turkey calling tips

I can use diaphragm calls, but my go to call for many years has been a Lynch World Champion box call. Sometime I use both in conjunction with each other, one advantage of the mouth call is restricted movement when they are close. I only wear woodlands camo for both turkey and archery hunting, no nee...

Handmade early French flintlock muzzleloader, circa 1727

Great build! I'm not that talented to build one from scratch, but my first FL was a TC Hawken kit, turned out pretty nice and shot well.

Can a simple Block of Wood catch fish?

I remember watching a fishing program years ago where they took a miniature plastic kitchen sink off of a plaque, ran a wire through it, and put a treble hook on, they managed to catch a good sized pike on "the kitchen sink". I think it was at Gods Lake in Manitoba, and possibly Gadabout Gaddis, but...

It was either walleye central or ice shanty, those are the only 2 fishing sites I'm on.

Interesting, I also just read about modifying plastics on another site, seems like there's no end as to how you can play with them.

How do you screw/mount things to aluminum (such as seat base)?

I did the same thing, I cut just a big enough access slot to be able to install aluminum angle underneath the bench seat, then made a plate to cover the hole, actually doesn't look bad if done right.

That hull would be excellent for duck hunting and fishing. If you want a project, and the majority of the hull is in good shape, and you have the skills to do some of the work, IMO it would be worth the effort. I would do just the basics first, fix the transom, fix the ribs and any other damage, and...
