A guy on here used AL conduit to make a T-Top on his Jon boat. Posted a lot of really good info and about it.
Now for the life of me I can not find it. TX gulf Coast is too hot for no shade.

Aluminum conduit is termed "IMC" (intermediate metallic conduit), and is not typically stocked at a big box store. You'll most likely have to get it at a local electrical supply house.

IMC and Aluminum conduit are not the same.
IMC, EMT and Heavy wall conduit are steel.
 
Jim yes that was it thank you verymuch.

I will figure out what i will order form that post. I am bad with nomenclature
