First off had to repair the transom. https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12433 Then I proceded to get the boat down to bare aluminum for paint.

Then got busy laying carpet and cutting plywood. During this time I also went through the trailer, Had it done by the time I picked the boat up from the body shop. I dont recall taking any pictures of this though, Will add some if I find them later on.

Also during or right befor the paint shop I built a custom bow mount for a transom trolling motor https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13951 , Later swapped up to a powerdrive unit https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13951 . I prefer the swap with the exception when I am jugging.

wow very nice !!!!! =D> How lond did it take from start to finish ?
I guess about two months, and thanks.

So after I finished the boat and trailer I pretty much fished with it solid until now. Since I completed it I have added a cheap set of berkely rod holders to see if I would like the ideal of having them mounted. And well kinda amazed how much I use them so for this year I plan on replacing them with a 6 rod rodsaver set. Also after I get where I am going while fishing solo I pretty much only use a foot of the boat. I tend to stand on the front bench almost 100% of the time and 90% of the time even with a partner. So I am considering adding a removable deck up front. If I had to guess I would say since I finished it I have used it for 75-90 outings. I lost the battery cover and strap, The inside of the tires are about bald which were new at the beginning of summer which makes me think the axle is to light. So for this year I plan on replacing the tires, wheels, and axle. Building a new removable casting deck and maybe selling my outboard and buying a newer one and building a cooler live well. As for the deck I dont plan on doing nothing special. As you can see from the pictures I can pretty much add a deck with very little work. Just a few 2x4s on the bottom of the piece of scrap plywood I have laying around and a few braces going to the floor up by the bow and I think it would be rigid enough for me. Add some carpet and it would be semi nice. How ever this is where I am undecided at, The decks I built come out easy as cake. I could make a nicer front deck that just lifts out like my other one and looks clean and nice or just half a$$ it and get it done. Ease of use or clean looks,I don't plan on keeping this boat for ever and was wondering what you guys would think if you were looking at it to buy. Which would by nicer to yall and why.

Man as sharp as that boat is you have to do it clean and right. Everything looks awsome. You dont want some gaudy throwed together deck in it.

Quick and easy can be tempting, but I find that I regret it over time. IMO, you have a really nice boat there, so do it right or don't do it at all.

Love the boat. I don't know how wide your boat is, but I like the current set up with the low front deck. However, your style of fishing determines boat layout, if you want a nice high deck go for it. Take your time and build the livewell into your new deck. Good luck.

Well thinks for all the comments, Yall truely helped me decide cause I was leaning toward a carpeted deck that just kinda set in/on what is already there. Figure weather permiting I am gonna lanch the boat tomorrow with the front deck out and add some weight up there to try and figure out what the max amount of weight I want to add. So been thinking about this whole live well thing and just happen to see one at lunch in the BPS master catalog. Anybody ever use one of these jon boat livewells? looks like its fairly easy and would be swappable from boat to boat, Which would be nice when I take the nephews fishing from pontoon. Kinda spendy though. https://www.basspro.com/TohoRig-Livewell/product/883/-217890 May just keep looking, I could do the whole build and a live well cooler cheaper then that I would guess. Planing on getting started this weekend so if anyone has a ideal about livewells speak your peace cause I could sure use it. Thanks ahead of time and I'll keep yall posted.

very nice boat!!! any new updates? did you ever build a cooler livewell? check out my build thread (in my signature) and feel free to tell me what you think! i also built a cooler livewell and love it!
