Hey, Zach. Congrats on the new boat and welcome to tinboats. There is a tutorial on posting pics near the top of the Watering Hole section. If you still have questions, just ask cuz we love pics and would love to see your ride.

Im like a kid in the candy store i couldnt resist so despite it being 30 degrees here in omaha nebraska. I had to take it to the lake and put her in the water to see how it sat. Also the gravity feed livewell on this how....I know that it is just gonna fill but it only had 3" of water how do i keep fish alive in 3' of water lol

My plans for the future will include a stern mounted foot controlled trolling motor, radio between the 2 seats with 2 speakers. two batteries under the seat under each seat for a total of 2 batteries. and convert tiller to remote with a console

In my opinion it turned out really good. It has been alot of wotk but all in all it took about 14 hrs to get it where it is at now.

Hello ; I just bought the same boat and love to see ideas ! Did you add a bench in front of the existing bench ? I also want to add the radio in front of the rear bench as well but was thinking of just cutting the metal and installing from top after foam is cut out ( any thoughts )?

I havent actually used the boat yet but i think i will like the layout i need to get rid of the bench seat i made and use use the aluminum bench. The wood extension is great but takes up 2' of room from front to back. I did not treat the wood just bought pressure treated

23mako probably knows pressure treated wood isn't good for aluminium... it'll eat it up. I like the extra deck space at the back with your design, but we spend most of our time trolling and I need the floor space too... can't have it all I guess. Another builder made similar mods, you might get some ideas. He decided after a bench/deck design like yours was too heavy once he went out, here's the link https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=17299&start=0

This was my first build.....do i need to take the pressure treated wood out? i dont like seeing popcorn eating as a reply lol. Im open to any and all constructive critiscism

I'm no expert... unless you count the hours of boat porn I look at on this site  . Based on what I've read, the pt wood shouldn't be touching the aluminum- at the least. Most go with spar urethane to seal raw wood, it's amazing how long a couple coats makes the wood last. I can't tell, how much of your build is pt?

Maybe some thin 1/16 sheet plastic, aluminum or something may help make a barrier between the treated wood and aluminum and salvage your work. Its true, that aluminum would be trashed in no time if it is touching treated wood. It would be a shame for your build to corrode the aluminum.

One guy on here put window tape wherever the wood was touching the aluminum. I believe he then put some roll on bed liner over the wood to seal it. Only time will tell if it has an adverse effect. I really like your mod though man. Good work.
