i was just thinking dang....wouldnt it be nice if there was a site for people with tin boats to get together and share info and stories. just as i was about to make one, i found this place. so in new member fashion, i will show off my boat. Some of the pics are part way through the process, others are almost done. To make the build make a little more sense, first, i added the front piece for a seat post. when that was not enough after a while, then i added the rest of the front deck, then the rear deck. then this year (2 years later) i carpeted it and wired it up with lights and bilge and such. Let me have all your comments! I'm thick skinned so criticism is good to

These 3 pics have the last few post carpet add-ons. Rod holders out of 4in pvc couplers (thanks to someone else on here) led lights on the front and an anchor light to the back, fire extinguisher etc. its done no more then 24 hours and a **** cat fish bled all over the carpet... #-o

Nice boat and setup you got there. That motor looks familiar, what is it? Looks like my 1968 Evinrude.

if your talking about the one thats not on the boat i believe i looked up the serial to be right around that year, evinrude 18 horse. picked it up on craigslist for 200. price was right, but shes a bit too heavy for this little jon. works fine as long as i limit the people weight in the boat. thought about going for some lighter flooring, but i think i am going to get rid of it as is instead and get something a bit bigger. this ones a bit tippy.

If you can make it work, its a good little motor. where are you located? I might be interested should you decide to part with it.
