I am putting two batteries in my 14' flat bottom and and I was wondering about the way weight of them being upfront or should I move them to the middle of the boat? Anyone have suggestions?

I have a Lowe 1436 and I cut the top off the middle bench and cleaned out the Styrofoam and covered that with plywood and hinged it. I put two batteries in the bench, one on each side and wedged wood so they don't slide. And I secured a two bank charger to the wood and it looks real clean.

Take the boat and batteries to the lake before you mount them, along with your normal load of gear for a typical day for you. See how the boat sits/runs/fishes with the batteries in different positions. It may take more than one trip to sort out the best solution for you and your boat.
