I have an older 14' Polarcraft (aluminum) jon boat. I want to paint it. I remember reading on Tinboats about a good paint for this job. I even think Cabelas sold it. Can anyone recommend a paint for this job? Thanks

My best advice?
"JUST SAY NO" to paint; buff the aluminum to a mirror finish.

I used marine paint from my local army surplus store, still holds up!

Of course I went camo, is there another color? Lol

Remember you must paint very soon if you sand on aluminum

I used battleship grey industrial floor paint, it's holding up well. Just a few scratched underneath where I have had to beach it.

Cabelas sells Parker brand duck boat paint. Rustoleum enamel paint is a great option.

I know opinions vary, but I used automotive acrylic enamel. I know it's not recommended for "below the water line" but my boat's lucky to go out once every two weeks. Holding up well. Then I bought stencils and gave it a camo job with "camo" flat aerosols.
