I know some of yall hate um, but I've wanted one my whole life. I'll buy another Jon boat this winter for the small waters so I hope you all dont shun me in meantime ;) I've caught a few fish off of it but to be honest I can't quit playing with the hds8. Awsome technology for sure

I fish all my tournaments out of my glass boat. I won't shun you at all.

My flat bottom jet would beat me to death if I fished some of those big lakes with it.

There's a place and time for both boats no doubt.

Congrats on the new water ride! Looks nice!

No shunning here. Nice Skeeter. The 1996 and later boats are all composite; no wood in the transom or hull to rot. The only thing I have to say that is a little negative is that on there smaller boats under 20ft the ride can be bone jarring in rough water if you try to run fast. The hulls are good & strong so no spider webbing caused by rough water or bumping into things. And don't forget that Yamaha V Max 0X66 fuel injection ( possibly the most advanced of the EFI outboards ) all it will need to continue running good is regular gas with a fuel treatment and use a good brand of two stroke oil & everything will continue to run as good as new along with changing the lower unit oil & water pump once a year. My dad has an 04 SX200 and it has been through more than it's fair share of abuse fishing multiple tournament trails throughout it's life. My dad & uncle won it brand new & my dad later bought my uncle out of his half of the boat. I remember one tournament in early march he even stuck it while trying to make a turn out of a shallow creek. The boat is still running strong today with a few minor battle scars. One thing that you will notice is that you can go shallower with it than other boats of a similar size. Nice boat!!!

Gladly take ya fishing, maybe even let you buy the beer too! Haha

Thanks guys. It's a 1998 zx185 c with a 97 vmax 150. Only problem is I like it better than my olé lady rite now
