I'm going to cut some MDO plywood and some non treated 2x4's for some simple floors on a 1542 jon. I'm wanting to paint them with something that will seal well and last a while. It doesn't have to be pretty, but it can't be white. I'm thinking maybe kilz grey oil base primer? Or is there a better option? Thanks!

You could use any thinned oil based paint. Thinning it will help it soak in to the wood.

I think you're on the right track with oil based paint. I sealed some plywood on my boat with Rustoleum. I usually thin Rustoleum with a little Acetone and add an enamel hardener. Rustoleum is great paint but takes a long time to fully dry. I've sanded Rustoleum weeks later and had it just gum up my sand paper. Adding a hardener makes this happen in days instead of weeks.
