Brand spankin' new here. Found this site over the weekend and haven't been able to look away since.

I had a boat given to me from MN. I live in IN. It is a 12' Lund, other than that I know nothing about it. It has a 4-digit serial number and there is a MN registration number on it but it reportedly hasn't been registered for like 10-15 years. No title. I know it's not stolen.

I want to gussy it up, put a small outboard on it. I already have a 35# thrust TM to put on it. I'm not willing to put one dime into this thing until it's properly titled. If I can't make that happen I will probably scrap it or sell it cheap.

Can anyone smarter than me help me identify the year or any other nuances about this boat that I should know? Secondly, has anyone experienced the same titling nightmare I am going through that might be able to guide me through the process?

#1 In Indiana a Boat Valued under $1000 or under $3000 New has no title. Go to the DMV, tell them the boat was on Grandpa's Pond for the last 30 years. You need to register it now to take it Fishing on the States Waterways. ←←← This Works! (Don't ask how I know)

Exactly the information I needed! Thank you kindly.

Got a call back from Lund today. I had called to ask about my boat and left a message. Lady said she got the call but can’t do anything til after the COVID embargo but she will get me an answer.
Great customer service!
