Hello,

This may be common knowledge to some, but I just figured it out so thought I’d share. I just found out my iPhone has both a level and a inclinometer on it. I would guess other phones are similar. On my iPhone it is under “Measure” app, but I understand on older systems it under “compass”.

So I used the level function to make sure my boat was level. This then let me use the inclinometer to measure the angle or slope of the sides and the bow’s angle.

Knowing this you would know what angle to set you saw at for cutting the supports, etc.

Yes, I know you can figure it out using Trig., but it’s been a long time since I took college math!
