My 1980s 9.9hp 2 stroke Merc wont run unless the prime button is pulled out. Then it runs like its choked and needs to be leaned out. but if I push the prime knob in then it dies .
I tried to run it last weekend after sitting for 3 months. It ran great the last time. But this time it started right up but dies every time I push the knob in. I ran it for an hours and it always died.
Got any ideas?
