20HP Chrysler outboard model 2021

Hi
I recently bought a 1955 Alumacraft model FD, it came with a free 20 HP Chrysler model 2021 complete with the controls and steering station. The engine turns but I can not get a spark or get it started. I don't know if there are any other problems with it.
Is it worth it to go through the expense of trying to fix it or should I buy a different motor ( OMC or Mercury) for it?
Can the 2 lever controls from the Chrysler be used with any other motor?
I tried to get some information on that model but I was not able to find the model number referenced anywhere. FYI, it has a soft plastic cap on top of the engine cover that lights up when the engine is on.

Go to iboats and check out the Chrysler forum. There's a couple Chrysler experts on there.
I would probably trash that motor because of the age and unknown. If you decide to try and get it running don't put more then $50 into the thing.
