I take a sparkplug out and push a piece of rope into the hole. Rotate gently until it firmly binds, then torque your nut.

Never tried it but seen others make a home made strap wrench out of an old belt attached to a scrap piece of wood or hatchet handle. Have also seen one similarly made out of an old car seat belt.

This method worked to get the flywheel off of a lawnmower I had. I think it was a thick nylon rope I used.

The rope through the sparkplug hole tip worked like a jewel. Had the opportunity to share the tip to a neighbor having a similar problem. Worked like magic for her, and I came off looking like a genius.

Thanks for the help, gentlemen
