Lift a glass, float a prayer, give a small salute or just wish a safe journey to a great, talented, and generously-helpful guy who repaired, fixed, or cured motors in the Southern Wisconsin area. Jim died in March, finally succumbing to stage four metastatic small cell cancer.

I met him about 10 years ago and he has been a good friend and great advisor for all those years. I won't put a list of good things he had done in life, but he was one of those "guys" who always was willing to help or offer advice to boat and motor owners.

He was 62 and kept on trying to do stuff until the very end.

Happy trails to you, Jim, until we meet again.
