livewell fuse problem

i have install a Timer from Basspro shop to my livewell,the timer come with a 3A inline fuse ,but everytime when i trun it on the fuse was brun.is that mean my livewell pump need to use a higher amp fuse ,or the fuse is for the light on the timer.how's the livewell pump usealy drawing amp?

Sounds like something is hooked up wrong or shorted causing the fuse to blow. I would retrace all the wires and make sure nothing is shorted. If you do not find any shorts I would remove the timer circuit and hook the pump up direct and make sure that it will function without blowing the fuse. If it does then something is shorted in the timer circuit, if it blows the fuse somehting is wrong with the pump. Depending on the size of your pump it should only draw about 1-2 amps.

OK,let me check the timer wire first,because i have the pump hookup direct to the battery before,no problem.
