That's a cool little boat! =D> 8)

Lightweight enough you can take it through any shallow area, without fear of grounding. With my boat, weighing 1000+ lbs, if you run aground, you're stuck. With your little boat, I'm sure it's a simple matter of dragging it off the shoal, much like a small jet ski or a canoe.

How is the handling on something that short?

I would think that when your width and length are that close there would be a propensity for the back end to want to pass rather than push you.

Looks very cool though!

My guess is that it's pretty stable, even in rough water. Probably spins around on a dime, too, much like a jet ski.

This is the type of boat I want to build for my next jetboat, something small, lightweight, and rock-proof.

the hull is 55" wide with a 12 deg. and a pad it runs about 35 mph. and it does turn on a dime

That's really cool. Do you have any pics of the bottom? I tried talking my dad onto letting me build a 10' jet to hang off the back of his cabin cruiser.

Yep, that's pretty much what type of boat they use in New Zealand, very small, and able to skim over rocks like gliding over water.

I agree with the sentiment on video....we want to see this thing in action!! 8)

I've been looking at a couple of builds similar to this boat.

Check these out:

This is the type of hull I want to use for my next jetboat build. I wish I had a template to go by for all my cuts, bends, etc. There will definitely be a lot of cardboard used to make patterns to mock everything up. Almost wonder if it'd be easier to buy a hull like this that's already pre-fabbed? I've never actually built a hull, and it looks like a bit of a PITA.
