Spent the last 3 days on Rainy,LOW,and URL. We started with a good bite on rainy after some moving around. After spending the night in Ifalls we decided to head to LOW when we woke up Sunday morning. We hit the ice and found most people set up in 27 fow. We ended up out in 31fow . Only one slot eye but with the sauger as aggressive as they were we stayed busy all day. We found a room in baudette with no plan for in the morning. I woke up Monday with URL on my mind. I talked my buddy into it instead of hitting low again. Not knowing if we were making a good call. I can tell you we made the right call. I found a rock mud transition and it was game on from sun up to dark. Red glow buckshot was my number one for the 3 days my dead stick rod was a white glow hook the first two days. I had a hard time managing two lines on red. Green forage minnow was number one dead stick. Each day i said to my buddy that this was the best walleye fishing I've had with the next beating out the day before. We left red and drove south to my cabin to change gears and chase some slabs. Coffee is going. Just waiting for some daylight.
