The center transom brace is pulling away from the stern because it's missing the two lower bolts that hold it on. I think the weight and stress of the motor is pulling up on the bottom of the hull and causing a leak in that area, which I have treated with G-Flex. I plan on installing two bolts through the existing holes and am looking for advice on what kind of SS bolts and washers to get and how to seal them. Thickened G-Flex? Thanks!

Most SS bolts sold are 304 series stainless and while 316L is certainly far superior, I've never had an issues with 304s. In fact, I only buy the 316s for bolt 1/2" or bigger or those under tremendous stress, and that is for my offshore use, certainly not that of my tins ...

Add nylon washer under the heads and nylok nuts.

Stainless steel nuts and bolts have tendency to gall. Use a little anti-seize.
