The NH Division got after it this past Saturday in Center Conway, NH at a 1,000+ acre body of water that has seen many beautiful largemouth and smallmouth bass caught. It was a gusty day, as it has been for what feels like weeks up here in New England, but that didn't stop teams from bringing great bags of 4 fish limits to the scales! 11 teams signed up to compete, and we were still missing some of our longest tenured members, so this year is already off to a phenomenal start!
Congrats to Richard Parent and Ryan Costello on a huge bag of green fish, topping the scales at almost 14.5 lbs, with a 3.95 lb kicker fish! They said it was a "magical day of unicorns" and that the teammates shared what will be great memories made for years to come. Rich runs a beautiful Lund Pro-V with a 200 HP on the back.
Coming up in 2nd place was the brother duo of Chris and Matt Martin. Dock talk was all abuzz about the Martin brothers claiming to have approx 9 lbs of greenies coming to the scales. They severely underestimated their 2 big fish, weighing at 3.95 and 3.73, respectively... with another good largie and smallie rounding out they're bag, they weighed in 12.5 lbs, and tied for lunker largie at 3.95, a first in the history of the AFS! The Martins run a 2020 G3 Sportsman 1810 with a 115 on the back.
Coming in 3rd, with lunker smallmouth, was a team thats been with us since the beginning, Jason Girard & Mike Tiedemann. They had a great day all around, weighing in 9.55 lbs, which included the lunker SM of the day weighing 3.03 lbs. Good to see these guys at the top of the leaderboard with some great points to start the season. They run a Bass Tracker with a 60 hp on the back.
