More and More often I am noticing people using wraps on thier rod handles and grips on there reels I just wanted to know if anyone uses them, and what you think of them?

I have seen them both! Im not a fan (I'm also a stubborn a** sometimes)

Here is a recent thread about the reel grips.

They almost had me convinced to try them!

 :D

I have been using the reel grips for over a year now and love them. they give me a much better feel when fishing in wet nasty weather.
i have only used the wraps on some of my spinning gear I have 1 rod with a Tennessee handle so it has no reel seat and is attached directly to the handle with a wrap. It give you a solid feel and works well

I haven't tried the grips but I wouldn't wrap a rod, I like the feel of cork and don't want to add extra weight unnecessarily if at a tiny amount.

:D

I like the rod wraps on my rods. I've been using the wraps used for tennis rackets (much cheaper in cost). They seem to grip better when wet. They also keep the cork better looking (would help in resale of high-end rods)

I also use the reel grips. Again, better grip/feel in the wet or hot weather.
