This is a pic of a local Lake that COE drained for maintenance. The road that I'm parked on is normally underwater. I drove and walked around the lake bed marking structure on my handheld GPS. Note the "crappie trees" I've circled in red, the normally submerged bridge and the big cloud of dust blowing up on the opposite bank. While I was there a doe came running across the wide lake bed, stopped at the bank and looked at me, then jumped in the river and swam across.

what a site to see, smart for marking the crappie trees, can come in handy down the road. What type of maint are they doing on the lake to require it be drained completely?
