Had the unfortunate luck of the steering in my MotorGuide Wireless going out...

I can here the servos making noise... but nothing turns...it is not locked up...I can move it manually...but not fun to grab the head of the unit for trolling (plus...probably not good for it).

Anyway...just curious if anyone else has had to send in their Motor Guide trolling motors? How long did it take to get it back?

My buddy had to do it twice, His units were less roughly a year old. Both times they sent him new trolling motors. He called them and explained his situation. If your unit is older, try to find a local authorized repair place. Sometimes those guys can fix them on the cheap.

less than 70 days old...Cabelas said if it were under 60 days...they would do the replacement....go figure ;)

Thanks,

Andy
