older minn kota troll motor

I have an older minn kota 3hp troll motor with maximer system It has 5 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse. I have a serial number but not if it is complete. the number is mk00568584 but the label has been peeled off from here. I cannot find a moder or year model. was wondering if anyone knows where i can look

I had one one of those motors. It was great; but unfortunately parts are getting scarce. Good luck in your quest.

northlander was great i dealt with someone from cannon downriggers, they sent me a schematic of the motor .i took it apart but the armature had deep scars and one of the magnates came out with the armature. i don't know if it is supposed to come out or not. tried to push the other one aou but won't move. going to see if cannon has parts for it if not i can always use it for an anchor.

well just heard back from cannon outriggers and i guess i can use it for an anchor. does anyone know if there is any type of glue to hold the magtnet in place? i might be able to emory cloth a little on the armature and get it to work. i am sure the loose magnet caused the grooves in the armature. i just don't know of any glue that would hold.

I've used loctite 326 with good results.
