Getting ready to leave the campground. Bodega Dunes state park was pretty nice and next to the beach. Hope to make it back.
Not a professional photo but what do you expect from an iPhone. Haha.

Managed to get out again earlier this week for some camping in north coast redwoods. Beautiful and about a 5 minute drive to the ocean for some sandy beach surf fishing.

More boring vacation photos!
This time at a Forestry campground next to a small lake up in the Sierra's. About 5,200 ft elevation. Very picturesque and not crowded but I bet that changes on the weekends.

Looks like a Norman Rockwell painting!
I'm guessing no campfires.
When I was at Rocky Mountain park, the kids next to us left food on the grill while they went to town to get something, probably beer.
Ranger came by when they were gone. They got a big fine for leaving food out & being absent.
We weren't even allowed to have toothpaste in our tent!

This place did have fire pits. They even allowed people to gather downed wood to burn. That is generally prohibited in our state parks.
When I was a kid camping with the family in Yosemite, it was common for the bears to make the rounds of the campground garbage cans. I think they have moved them all out now (bears, not the garbage cans).
