Im looking for new seals to go on the cowl of my 86 40hp evinrude. All of the marine part sites i have checked are out of stock. Is there a standard type of rubber tubbing i can use? S better site someone can recomend?

Marineengine.com has some for some models from your year and HP. But there are several models listed. You might want to check over there to see if they have it. Here are a couple for models I randomly looked at (they aint cheap). You might try searching your part number on eBay too.
