Remember the 18 foot ghetto queen??

Thanks. Out in some clear water the motor pushes real nice. It can get pretty slow in lots of chop and wind.

Remember the 18 foot ghetto queen??

Here it is, spent all summer working on it. Questions and comments please. Paid 500$ for the boat and trailer. Had a helluva time building it. https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2085035&id=72406282&l=8f8d75ec45

Wow! Thats awesome! That's exactly what i want to do with my boat. Im gonna have a trolley motor off the back and the rear seat offset to the right a bit and i've always had an idea to create a mini-console for GPS, Fish-finder, possible stereo, tray for miscellaneous, hooks for keys, whatever...

This is driving me crazy (Paint)

to remove the paint? Well... Aircraft stripper isn't really that expensive, you can get a gallon for 30$ and that should be enough for a whole boat if you use it sparingly. I applied a decent coat on an area, would wait about 15-25 minutes and then scrape off the paint with a putty knife or...

    Question regarding batteries/wiring

Thanks guys, but after looking around some other pages, it seems like my best option might be to get one of those perko switches, that way i have the ability to choose whether to run parallel or independently. Heres the site i found, does the diagram provided seem legit on how to use this...

    Duralast battery

I have an 18' jon boat with a 55lb minn kota trolling motor on the back. It has no digital maximizer. Im looking for batteries and I found these Duralast batteries at autozone that are made for marine applications. I looked up the info and the one i would buy has 1000ca and 800 CCA and 180...

    Question regarding batteries/wiring

Ok... i just bought my 55 lb minn kota traxxis. Next week il be buying a battery for it. I already picked up the minn kota circuit breaker for it, so this means il need an extra wire connection from the battery(+) to the circuit breaker. I read the manual and Minn Kota suggests to use 6 gauge...

    18 foot Ghetto Queen

You know, its funny, my dad saw that and he told me about this old movie where he thinks the ghetto queen was taken from. Like it was some type of reference. Im thinking i might go find that movie, watch it, and if i like it, maybe take something from it for the name of the boat. Maybe a part of...
