While Musky fishing last spring this perch decided to hit this 6 1/2 inch phantom softail... either that or he was tryin to get lucky =P~ lol not really a dink... but compared to the bait he is
What we did was use a wood sealant on it, we put two really generous coats on all of the wood to help keep it from rotting... its pretty much all aspen, so we made sure to really get it sealed well
thanks for the info!... Im planning on changing that, so that the baits won't get tangled up in there, i might just take the rods out and build vertical chambers or something of that nature
St. Croix Mojo Musky 8' H Fast action with a Abu Garcia Revo Toro Winch 60 spooled with 80lb power pro. Use it mostly for Winching in double 10 blades, or Musky Innovations Magnum or "Pounder" bulldawgs
was planning on finishing today, but we didn't get it quite complete, front deck has been carpeted we still need to carpet the back of the boat and put in the doors and hinges etc. other than some minor paint touch ups it will be done! it turned out 10 times better then I expected, i guess...
as far as the deck goes. Im using 1/2 in CDX for the stuff I will be walking on, since your deck looks like it will be the floor of the boat? I would use 1/2 in CDX... I wouldn't recommend the OSB plywood. that stuff doesnt last very long... CDX is more expensive but you wont have to worry about...
After looking at your hull I see what you mean, your right mine does not have that, must be because its a different model? same paint jobs almost as mine, so I'm guessing it may have been made at the Northport plant? thats located about 30 minutes away from me in the small town of Gillett...
