    Tunnel Hull help

What grade aluminum and thickness did you use for the tunnel extension? Are you using a mig setup? If so what type of wire and diameter do you recommend for the things you have done on the boat?

    Tunnel Hull help

Eager to hear how this works. Once you get it dialed in I'll bring my boat down so you can do it to mine!!!

    Wetlander 3L System

It stays on the hull fine. If you hit a large rock or concrete it's going to scrape off but sand or gravel doesn't seem to affect it

    Tunnel Hull help

I also coated my hull with wetlander over the summer hoping it would help and didn't make a difference. Pic for reference, level is on the bottom of hull.

    Tunnel Hull help

Dearl, I have a Lowe 1752D with factory tunnel and have the same issues that you describe. I only have a 50/35 at the moment. The stern feels like it is sucked down, if I'm on the lake at WOT and I run over a wake sometimes the boat will break free...the bow will sit down and I will pick up...

    Wetlander 3L System

It is holding up well, I didn't notice anything on top speed but it does definitely slide very easy. Slides off the trailer to the point that it's hard to get the winch hooked up alone. Also need to anchor anytime you want to beach it, it will slide right off the bank.

    Lowe Roughneck 1755 Jet boat

Awesome build! Wish I had the fab skills and tools to do work like this. What height is your transom? Looks like 20" and you used a jackplate to make up for the extra height of that motor? I have a 1752 roughneck jet tunnel very similar to yours. My transom is 20" to top of tunnel. Currently...

I have a couple tanks of gas through the boat now with the new bottom coating. I didn't notice much of a top speed difference from before. It does push off of anything pretty easy including the trailer. I've put some decent scratches in it from hitting large rocks or concrete chunks but you...

    Tin boat fly fishing projects?

TWC4, Checked out your instagram, cool boat setup you have. What length oars do you run? Do you have them mounted in the middle of the boat or offset front/back slightly?

Mercury 60/40 vs 60/45. What is the difference?

Looking at upgrading my 50/35 and was looking at used mercurys. Some are 60/40 and others 45. Do they have different pump??? Going to look at one that is a 94' 2-stoke and supposedly a 60/45.

    Outboard jet tunnel design questions

Yeah I have a forward console sitting on the drop deck. I have tried moving weight all around doesn't seem to make a differnce. My motor is a short shaft as well. What kind of speeds do you see with your setup?

    Outboard jet tunnel design questions

I have a 90's Lowe roughneck 1752D with a tunnel. I have had trouble getting the motor set to the correct height and also with planing. Motor is 98' Yamaha factory 50/35. Has a new foot/liner and impeller is setup correctly. When I set the jet foot so that the leading edge is even or slightly...

    Wetlander 3L System

Well we went to NY fishing but there was hardly any water in the river. Can't really say much about the wetlander so far since I was just putting around. I did hit a few pieces of concrete at slow speed and it took the coating off, I was not expecting it to hold up to that though. Goes off the...

    Wetlander 3L System

I flipped the boat back over last night and put it on the trailer. I put new bunk boards on the trailer and new carpet. It deffinitely winches up much easier than it did before. Only got the motor put on and running tonight. Hopefully I can hit the lake tomorrow. I plan on fine tuning my motor...
