    Thanks for the input, guys. I've noticed a lot of other boaters at my local lakes use them. My boat is pretty old so it's obviously stood the test of time...but I want to make sure it continues to do so! I think I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on one. Thanks again!

    Looks great so far! Looks like you might be here in IA, too? Are you getting your aluminum from a scrap yard or somewhere else? I want to do the same with mine but found it's expensive to purchase the aluminum at the box stores.. Keep up the great work!

    Great looking boat!! I just bought my first - a 71 Starcraft Seafarer and it looks very similar to yours.. It even has the same paint scheme (although your paint job looks much more quality than mine). Did you paint the floor black? Or is that some kind of matting/carpeting? Nice work!! =D>
