Wow, thanks bulldog, you do some mighty fine work yourself! I am surprised more people didn't enter based on the fact that everyone on here is DIYer, but you did get close to 1000 hits on this thread!
Here are a couple more:
This is the same shad body style but with a lot more exposed foil...
Last entry: I just finished this 1.25oz. - 5" double-jointed shad swimbait It's weighted so that it is neutrally buoyant and will stay just under the surface on retrieve. The finish is aluminum foil under printed tissue and fins made from tackle box dividers.
The decals are photoshopped and printed on my inkjet. The yellowfin was printed on gift wrap tissue and spray glued to aluminum foil, applied to the carved wooden blank, airbrushed and then clear coated with Devcon 2 ton epoxy. The epoxy "wets" the parts of the tissue with no ink and that...
I started making my own crankbaits a few months ago when I read an article about wooden flatsides. I couldn't justify spending $25 on one lure so I went out and spent WAY more than that on tools and materials. This always happens to me, I say, "Hey I can make that myself instead of buying it"...
I believe I could heave that on one of my round ABU Garcia Catfishing rigs for some Hybrid Stripers. Don't know if it would work but would be willing to try. If I won, I would like it painted like this Central Stoneroller in breeding colors (if possible):
Nice catch!
I've been wanting a beefier stick bait/Senko style worm for a while and discovered JDBaits had exactly that. Also, it's an incredible deal for custom baits.
I can't wait to receive my order of Fatboys. I'm going straight to a farm pond known for harboring picky hawg bass and...
Yum is transitioning from the LPT scent to F2 and you can find Yum Dingers on clearance for under $2 for a 12 pack at Wallyworld and other chain stores. Personally, I like the LPT's better because it seems that the new Dingers don't have the same subtle wiggle action that old ones do.
IMO...
Forgot to add that you can look on the bottom of the reel foot and make note of the numbers. You may be able to use that number in the search field on the Abu website for schematics to find out what model it is.
Look up your model on this site to see the schematic.

If you know what is wrong with it you can write down the part # that you want to replace and call Abu Garcia to order parts. Parts are cheap and they will have them to your door in two...
I almost started doing the Pee Wee Herman dance to "Tequila" in Pewee's Big Adventure but "The Carton" was more fitting. I'm saving the Pee Wee for a monumental occasion such as the lottery. (no offense toe the spinnerbait give-away)
