Wire brush attachment was a life saver. I had 2 that I just rotated out. Definitely wear breathing protection, lots of old paint debris! I was thinking the 2k range, but I do want to sell it, so it's gotta be the right price. Thanks :)

Thanks sir, appreciate your input. Your rig looked great btw, nice work. Appreciate it...I wish I could, but financially and towing wise I just can't make it happen. I really contemplated towing it with my 98 GTI, but I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Seat brand is Wise...got them off ebay....feel great! Thanks for the love ya'll. Hopefully the next owner will have fun and enjoy it too. :) However, I'm starting to realize a 12' might be harder to sell at the price i'm hoping than I had thought. :|

From start to finish - My first but not my last 12' Jon

Greetings gents'... This is the official build up from beginning to end of my first boat. It's a 12' Trailorboat Jon from the late 70's I believe. A parting ways between my ex and I prompted me to get busy and start a project, so why not something I wasn't familiar with? Although it's now...

Lurker from the NW sharing 12' aluminum dreams!

Thanks Mike. Haven't been out yet. The last base is supposed to get here today, but i'm going to take it to the lake later on today and make sure stability and leaks are no problem. I'll check back and give an update on the first splash down. :)

3 separate questions for the knowledgeable....

Excellent, thanks this is just what i was looking for. I can get a pretty good idea from your setup, although the pictures are kinda small and non-clickable :-k I picked this up in hopes that it'll cure my oxidation problem. Anyone used or heard of it? @ $25 a tub, it better do what i hope it...

3 separate questions for the knowledgeable....

Greatly appreciate your response man. I was hoping that was the case with the trolling motor as i'm going to pickup a new one tomorrow. I had always thought about the savers i had seen with larger motors, and figured it would be a good idea even for a smaller one like mine. I can run it in the...

3 separate questions for the knowledgeable....

    1. What are some suggestions for cleaning up the exterior of the boat? Lots of oxidation and in need of some love. 2. Attaching a transom mount trolling motor to the bow and pivoting the head around, pros/cons/thoughts? A foot-control bow mount is out of my $ range for now, so i was hoping to...

Sounds expensive... if i had your Ranger i'd have a trailer like that as well  This $600 boat/trailer/motor combo is perfect for my budget.

Lurker from the NW sharing 12' aluminum dreams!

The boat and trailer have a garage spot that limits the length i can squeeze in. My setup right now literally has about a foot of play in the back to still walk past, if i picked up a 14' + trailer, i know that the tongue wouldn't clear the garage door and still have room at the back. I would...

Lurker from the NW sharing 12' aluminum dreams!

I gotcha, i was hoping i would be fine, i can't imagine the FF drawing too much, and the trolling motor doesn't do too much damage to it for a few hours. I too was thinking of adding a cd player, i think at that point i'd look at a larger capacity battery or an onboard charger. Being in oregon...

Lurker from the NW sharing 12' aluminum dreams!

Thank you good sirs...Ober the FF, bilge pump and trolling motor will run off the battery. Trolling motor and FF will be the only 2 things on at the same time. Think i'll run into some problems? The wiring really isn't too extensive, should i look at onboard chargers?
