on mine, i noticed if I leave the gas line attached on a hot day it, the tank swells and will push gas up into carb and it will spill out and pool in same spot. i always disconnect now when done for day.
not sure if thats whats happening in your case but something to look into.
Rapala fillet knife is a staple in every tackle bag .
what lake did you go to Ldubs? I hit san pablo Res last 2 weekends and limits both time. Caught my first lightning trout. looks like he was swimming near a nuclear plant lol
yes, thats what I did. i also used 3m heavy duty spray adhesive. seems to hold fine. really easy to install. just make sure you have some sharp razor blades to cut the vinyl.
i got mine on amazon, although more per foot, 2 day shipping was free because I have prime. when i looked at the website to order by yard, shipping was 48 bucks and it would arrive in 3-4 days. worked out about same cost but shipped faster.
as for the product itself, took boat out first time...
i got sick of stinky coffee and blodd stained carpet that always catches hooks. i ripped all mine out and replace it with Nautolex Marine Vinyl Flooring...
Im gojng Monday for sure, trying to decide between Pardee and Camanche. i have 2 downriggers so depth wont be an issue. i think Pardee may have Kokes too which re fun to fish for. Camanche is a little closer though.
Which side of Camamche did you launch from?
thanks for the info Ldubs. Im sick of waiting on Del valle and lame East Bay Parks dept, heading up to Camanche next Monday. i have not fished camanche in 20 years. looking forward to trolling at a new lake.
Nice catch Ldubs. what lake did you end up at?
I spoke to EBMUD and San Pablo should be opening in next couple of weeks. no word on Del Valle, starting to worry it might stay closed.
I have not been able to get out since all this started since the lakes are all closed.
Got the pods mounted on boat along with new LED bow light. the scotty post for the light bar came off a spare scotty drink holder I had laying around.
The bow light will be wired to switch panel and ill use a quick disconnect socket for the light pods.
Ldub, you read my mind. I may put in a flush mount but I need to make sure i have enough height to clean the nav light. ill probably get it mounted today or tomorrow. ill post some pics.
Yesterday, I made a removable mini light bar out of some old scrap aluminum i had laying around as well as some old rod scotty parts I had. ill mount the scotty base to bow.
Thanks for advice on here. I installed the Mini Jacker plater and got motor mounted. I ended up with 5" of lift. Another inch and a half would have been ideal (thats what she said) but i did not want the jack plate up that high. all in all pretty easy to do, very sturdy.
