The marine battery was tested by Sears and it was ok. The motor has not been submerged but has been rained on quite a bit. The motor was submerged while connected to the motor but the motor has never been submerged.
I changed all the rusted hardware and the 50A breaker/fuse. I then plugged the trolling motor in and got a high pitch noise and the 4 or 5 power level lights started blinking. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and nothing happened. When I pressed the battery check button all the lights...
I had the battery tested at Sears. They tested it for 45 minutes and they said it was good and nothing was wrong with it.
Tomorrow I'm going to change the rusty parts and hope for the best!

I bought an anchormate and it is now attached to my boat. :D I looked on youtube and found a good knot for attaching the 1/2" poly rope to the anchor. Now I'm trying to attach the other end to the achormate reel but I'm not sure how. :?: If I use a knot it seems to be way to bulky.

I noticed the advertisement said it would hold an anchor up to 12 lbs. What would happen if you used a 15 lb anchor? I don't want to go buy a new lighter anchor...what to do?
