    Tracker Transom replacement PROBLEM

Yep, it's a Targa 17. I got another 1/8" piece of aluminum to make a full piece (3 sections) for the inside skin and will use full one-piece in the picture to go on the inside of the outside skin. The outside skin has some pitting so I like this solution. Is it necessary for me to epoxy the...

    Tracker Transom replacement PROBLEM

The gap is at the bottom brace that holds up the transom board. It's clear now to me that the correct width should be 1 and 3/4".' I can get the extra 1/8" by doubling up the inside skin but I don't have quite enough to cover the upper sides. I think I can do what Dale suggests and use what I...

    Tracker Transom replacement PROBLEM

It's off. Added some heat to inside and outside of both sides and she finally budged.

    Tracker Transom replacement PROBLEM

I have everything out/off that but need some help removing the wood. Tried lifting it out with a jack-all and brace along bolts I drilled into it. Will not budge, it actually lifts the boat off the trailer. I want to keep it in one piece if I can to use it as a template for the new one. -All...

    Water jacket, 115 Mercury

How clean does it need to be? I've done the best I can with a putty knife for the thick stuff and a razor blade for the rest. It's smooth to the touch but definitely doesn't look like it.

    Water jacket, 115 Mercury

The leak was a failed water jacket gasket. I'm in the process of cleaning the cover and the frame around cylinders. The gasket and sealer are really stuck on in a few places. I have the new gasket and will replace once it's all clean. What is the recommended sealer to use with the new gasket?

    Water jacket, 115 Mercury

Got the water jacket off without breaking any bolts. What is the best way to clean it? Should I worry about the appearance of the top 2 cylinder heads compared to the bottom 2?

    Water jacket, 115 Mercury

While hooked up to the muffs, I have water pouring out of the top cylinder at the spark plug. I wish I could uplaod the video to show how bad it is, but unfortunately the site doesn't accept videos. The still shots from the video will have to suffice. My research indicates it's clearly the...

    Quicksilver Commander trim switch/harness replaced

Thanks for the reply guys. It's a 1995 Mercury, 115 ELPTO. The left-over part is a solid piece of brass. I've attached a new picture for size reference. It's on the left, larger than the roller for the fast idle.

    Quicksilver Commander trim switch/harness replaced

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I replaced the trim switch and wire harness on my Commander shifter because it was broken. Unfortunately, in the process of connecting the wiring, the box fell over and some of the parts fell out. After much frustration, I thought I had put everything back...

92 Tracker Magna 17 Fish, floor replacement, hull repair

Welding completed. Only the outside was done as he recommended that I epoxy the inside. I will do that with gluvit. Two more things to deal with: Trim button broke on the shifter so I'm looking for a replacement shifter with the button and wiring as my shifter has already been 'fixed' with 5200...

92 Tracker Magna 17 Fish, floor replacement, hull repair

Removed the framing from the bow. A couple really interesting things I discovered: 1. The foam did not fill the whole hull cavity as it was likely intended to be. A piece of matching carpet was attached to the foam, all jumbled up. 2. There were 2 pieces of 2x4 green treated lumber under the...
