Built a wood console and fiberglassed it. The mercury 40/30 jet pushes the boat 32 mph with just me and gear, 28 with two people loaded down. Pretty happy with it and the boat layout so far.

I just chipped off small chunks with the claw hammer. The foam that was in this boat was completely soaked with water. I actually pulled the hull off the trailer and flipped it over by myself this afternoon. It's amazing how light the bare hull is.

I was lazy and did a temporary floor in my duck boat. Put 3/4 regular non treated plywood in it 3 years ago. I use the boat almost every weekend. It does stay covered when not in use though.

I've used it on my duck boat. It sticks good to wood. But, it's hard to roll on aluminum and peels off after a while.

Started a new project today. Traded my 1448 stick steer Jon for a Tracker tournament TXS. I kept the 40/30 Mercury jet and have already installed it on the Bass Tracker. Took it for a test run and surprisingly it ran the same speed on the heavier boat as it did with the 14 foot flat bottom...
I have a 1448 with Mercury 40/30. It has forward mounted stick steer. Will run 25 mph with two people. Adding pods later this week to bring the rear up some
