    I wanna go fast!

Looks like a 10" pitch with 9 1/2" diameter. Or 91/2x10 in prop speak. Stainless are heavier but the offer different rake which can get the bow up. If it has mounting holes up on should do it. Really only want the cavation plate out of the water close in To the transom.

    Propping a 16 xpress

The angle from the point of blade attachment to the hub to the peak of the blade. 90degrees to the hub is low moreangle to the stern or raked back is high. Normally with greater rake the more the bow lifts per degree of trim. Other factors also change lift.

    Propping a 16 xpress

Iirc that's the 5300-6300rpm one. Try low rake and a good bit of cup. You'll want to lift as a whole unit while trimming out preventing the stern from digging. This keeps the angle of the bottom from creating more drag even though more bow is out. Also will keep the bow from going past balance...

ANybody ever seen/heard of one of these?

I think marine you have to rabbit. Doesn't steam well. Mainly due to the cross grain layers and waterproof glue.

    Two Stroke or Four Stroke?

I agree with turbotodd parts in the future. I can see canada just banning 2 stroke parts period in a year or two. The if you can't beat them kill them method. Meaning one day the two stroke would break and be unrepaierable. How far away it is ??? But something to think about.

    12' Alumacraft wont plane?!

Good mechanic can add some pitch. But might need to take some out. Depends on rpm. Multi meter or tiny tach.

    light front end

If you are leaving the trim up and have a fin angled up it will wander at idle. Like a crank bait. One person will also make it drift one direction.

    High horse power john boats

40 or their a about. Smooth ride,it will be pt 170 like, few mph faster depending what your pt has. If they come like a lot of boats in this hp range you'll end up messing with engine height and props. Iirc they like the stern lifting kind. Bows light enough to. Handle with trim but they also...

Large glass bay boat to jon boat

You will be happier with the tin barge 20' by 96" decent hp rateing but can get by on a 40 or 60. To big to get blown around much long enough for surf. Sides deep enough to not fear crossing oca or mild bay work. Cc and all the goodies. Most can handle 90+ Hp If your thinking canal boat that...

OPINIONS PLEASE. LOOKING AT TWO DIFFERENT BOATS

Bigger but don't let the guy sell you his used impeller that's a yearly service item. And repairs don't add value. More then likely why the power head went. Everyone wants money back and stuff but don't pay for needed things paying for added is ok but someone needs to eat normal maintenance...

    2-stroke motors a guilty pleasure?

The four strokes from the 60's still run today lame over heavy for hp rating but still run. I've noticed no real world economy difference in my 4s 2s boats. Dfi 2s the carb boat drinks it it nothing compared to the 4s I/o carb.

Maximum Outboard Horsepower Capacity (Guide and how-to)

To ease some confusion don't forget to x by the modifier. .5 or .8 for hard or soft chine 230 x .5 = 115 bringing it close to the uscg tag.

    Alcohol wash out

Of corse now you have nothing to keep water out of the tank so you pour in a bottle of water remover every once in a while and put back in what you took out. You also risk lowering the octane rating Just no good fuel these days. Danged if you do danged if you don't.
