They're just wired to a switch with a fuse inline to the battery. I'll mainly use them for driving and trolling into the stumps where i catch my crappie and catfish, that's why my lights are pointed down like they are. Thanks for your input! I haven't had a chance to put it on the water yet but I can see where you're coming from. I've got a black rubber mat that i can cut up and use and throw down if I need to and see the difference it will make before painting. LOL and yes, I did notice you mentioned "flat"...

I agree now as well... my brother and I were fishing on his 14ft and he had a welded metal bracket on the front, we hit a stump and it shifted the motor to the left and i thought that thing was going to fly out of the water!

best thing to do is look up comparable boats of relative sizes. The next thing i'd do is re-carpet your bunker-boards and get everything rusty off!

I agree, this was just a mock up that turned into a finished product. What I really wanted to do is weld a solid piece of aluminum or galvanized steel in place of the wood. I may do that in the future, as for now it's holding up pretty solid! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
