We went fishing in a pond/small lake at my friends house. His community maintains four or five lakes and green spaces where you can fish. I took my 10-year old down there and he had a ball.
I was glad he had fun because the last four times we went fishing he hadn't caught anything. I think...
I had an old guy tell me to take a piece of alkaseltzer and put it in a sleeve lure. He said the bubble piss the bass off and they "attack."
Have you guys ever heard anything like this?
I have an older narrow 12' aluminum boat. I am much heavier than my son. Is it better to have more weight in the back near the transom or in the middle/front? Since we tumped it over, I want to make sure before we get back out.
I have the trolling motor on the back, but I can mount it on the...
I didn't get close enough to hold the fish. They could've been something other than small mouth. That's what it looked like from a distance. Maybe I should change it to read,
Man, this guys was catching the heck out of something on minnows.
Everyone down there was doing really...
=D> Good News, There was a guy catching the mess out of something on minnows from the bank.

I have a 12' aluminum boat. I'd say that we will be around 450lbs - 500lbs with two people, battery, gear etc.
The boat is rated for 550lbs (or 650 couldn't read the tag very well), so we are going to be close to the max weight.
Here's the question. I picked up a Motor Guide Trolling motor for...
I think I figured it out. My trailer is homemade. I mounted the lights on a two by four and attached it to the back of my trailer. So the lights themselves didn't have any ground points. I ran a wire to one of them and now it works fine. I guess it was a ground problem all along.
I have it ground to the trailer pretty good now, I think.
The flashers, brake lights and turn signals work fine. When I turn the head lights on, nothing works including the tail lights/running lights.
Does that sound like it is still a ground issue?
I ran my trailer lights last night. The tail lights (when head lights are on) don't work. I found out it was because I don't have the white wire ground. My trailer is galvanized so how should I ground it. Do I need to sand the area down that I am grounding too?
I don't talk about it online often, but my 7-year old son was killed in a car accident about five years ago. I had an 8 foot aluminum boat when he was five, and he and I went fishing quite a bit. Some of my best memories are in that boat and fishing from shore. He caught about 20 bream one time...
I fished in Hickory Creek near old Alton Bridge Tuesday for about 4 hours. There were around 20 people fishing up and down the creek a different times I was there. I ended up switching to live bait to see if I could get anything. I got nothing. There was one guy there who caught two small mouth...
