    Had more than one instance where a bad hub felt just like a bad clutch dog. And, as best I remember, it was on 40HP and less (this being the days before thru-hub exhaust). Might have seen a few bigger motors too (been over 40 years since I made a living doing that), but the rubber in the hub...

    Rigid polystyrene (i.e. insulation) won't hold up to being walked on. The polyethylene foam is flexible, so it's like walking on a hard cushion (easier on bare feet). And it doesn't rattle like composite deck boards would on a Sunday afternoon.

    Thoughts on polyethylene foam? About $150 to get several 4x4 sheets to fill & cover between middle & rear seat (and if you remember that "Candid Camera" episode with the soft foam under the carpet, you just dated yourself :-)...
