Shallow V hull low freeboard search

fwiw . . . bought a brand new Meyer Aluminum 16' SuperPro V-model and sold it after one time in the water . . . too tippy for me with a 6 degree transom deadrise . . . instead repowered 1987 Lowe Superior V with a zero-degree 16" transom deadrise . . . no mud-motor but run in 18" river water...

    greese seal

The double-lipped seals might be a little thicker but they are better . . . and check that they came with the tension spring installed. Be aware that some of the chinese clone seals don't have enough interference for a tight press fit. MyTwoCents

What did I get myself into “Lowe boat”

Lowe makes one of the best boats around . . . post a few pics of yours. I'd like to see if yours has a cast aluminum bow plate, cast aluminum transom knee, and cast aluminum transom handles.

Didn't get carried away with sealing and filling. Took some fiddling but I...

    Deadrise on a tinner

I purchased a new 16' tin V-hull with approx 8-10 degrees transom deadrise and sold it after being in the water one time. Too unstable for me so I re-powered my old ZERO degree transom deadrise hull and never looked back. Could not find a new V-hull with ZERO degrees deadrise. I'm a freshwater guy.

    Roof Top Loader

Watched a guy at the ramp unloading and loading a 12ft tin boat at a 10HP lake with one . . . he was having more fun with his $2000 electric rear-loader than his $200 boat . . . LOL

    Led flood light

Will be interested in what you come up with . . . I've tried adding lights to my tin but had trouble with the light bouncing off the inside of the hull making it almost impossible to see ahead. Even with a handheld Q-beam I have to hold it outside the hull and off to the side to see anything...
