thanks for the tip but if you read the OP you will see I have been searching the subject for the past couple days already, so yes I know many have done it.. But I haven't found anything pertaining to the mid 90's years such as my 1995.

Outboards can definitely be finnicky to tune.. even for a mechanic if they aren't familiar with them.

Just wondering if anybody happens to know if the 30HP carb swap can be done on my 1995 model? I've been searching for the past couple days reading threads about it.. looks like a common mod for 80's to early 90's models, and the early 2000's Evinrude 25 benifits as well.

I Would have a hard time justifying $700 to add power trim too, but I have ZERO dollars invested in my Johnson from making deals buying and selling a couple boats last year. On top of that, I boat in some very uneven shallow water... Power trim is going to be fantastic. I Got the Panther 25...

Thanks guys. I decided against the CMC already.. Marinetech/Panther makes a completely integrated trim kit for my Johnson which fit's just like factory T&T, and maintains the kick back feature so I ordered one... should be here Friday. thanks!
