    1995 Johnson 25, 30hp carb swap.

thanks for the tip but if you read the OP you will see I have been searching the subject for the past couple days already, so yes I know many have done it.. But I haven't found anything pertaining to the mid 90's years such as my 1995.

Outboards can definitely be finnicky to tune.. even for a mechanic if they aren't familiar with them.

    1995 Johnson 25, 30hp carb swap.

Just wondering if anybody happens to know if the 30HP carb swap can be done on my 1995 model? I've been searching for the past couple days reading threads about it.. looks like a common mod for 80's to early 90's models, and the early 2000's Evinrude 25 benifits as well.

    CMC Power trim units

I Would have a hard time justifying $700 to add power trim too, but I have ZERO dollars invested in my Johnson from making deals buying and selling a couple boats last year. On top of that, I boat in some very uneven shallow water... Power trim is going to be fantastic. I Got the Panther 25...

    CMC Power trim units

Thanks guys. I decided against the CMC already.. Marinetech/Panther makes a completely integrated trim kit for my Johnson which fit's just like factory T&T, and maintains the kick back feature so I ordered one... should be here Friday. thanks!

    CMC Power trim units

When I started searching for sellers carrying the CMC units I discovered the Panther Integral 55-0025. This is an integrated Tilt and Trim designed for the Johnson/Evinrude 20-35hp. Weighs a little less and I won't need to buy a new steering cable either. My current steering cable does not...

    CMC Power trim units

Are CMC Power Trim and Tilt units any good? I really want trim and tilt.. was going to sell my Johnson 25 for a new 2017 Yammie F25 but the $6500 Canadian pesos I can not justify. :( I'm curious if these CMC units are a good option? Does anybody here have one? Are there other...

Looking to buy a new 1648 john boat for the creek and river

I just picked up a late model 2016 1448 MVX with aluminum transom about a month ago. Very happy with my decision. And Canon rod holders work great with 1/4" carriage bolts. I don't bother with any of the versa track stuff. Drink holders, GPS mounts, rod holders.. it all works great with...

Post a Pic of your boat!

Just wanted to show off my "forever" boat! Had a few old fiberglass runabouts, trihulls etc.. then got out for a couple years and switched to a Kayak. THEN discovered Jon boats ;-) First I found great deal on a junk boat with a good 9.9 tiller for power.. Sold the hull and trailer (for...

Is a new Merc 25 too heavy for Grizzly 1448?

well I found a motor! No power trim like I was hoping but it's a nice light 25 and the price was right. Had to buy the entire boat package but I think I'll get every penny back. a 14' Sea Nymph with Karavan trailer and 1995 Johnson 25 with electric start. Has a Tiller to control...
