    Homemade aerator

I built this out of garbage people threw in my yard. I live on a sharp curve so I get a lot of free stuff. It took about 8 hours of thinking and troubleshooting to make it work; after which I discovered that there were about 2 dozen different patens on similar designs. The real problem is that...

    My gigging video

This is tilipia gigging. I had no idea how this was going to turn out. I just hung the canera over the bow with wires and hoped for some good shots. They dont live in in here naturally, they got loose back in the 60's and now you can practically walk on them. Thanks for watching...

Built a trotline and caught something

I mostly put them out for soft shell turtles. They are a pain to process but the meat is good if you marinate it and grill it as kabobs. The weirdest thing I ever caught is a crappie or a giant salamander called a siren.

    Central florida tilipia gigging

I know what you’re thinking, Tilapia are only 6.99 a pound. Why go out there and catch them. It’s not about the money; it’s about getting a true taste of Central Florida water. (Lawn chemicals) I caught these out of a local ski lake with about 6 feet of visibility. The bottom was clean...

bio and Starting school in january

I think you are making a good decision. With ethanol, 4 cycles and the need for expensive test equipment one would think that marine machanics would be in demand. Those guys charge a lot of money and they are always behind. Dont be like me! Get a degree that acutally justifies the cost of the...

    Cant center boat on trailer

The predrilled, bunk bracket holes on the trailer are directly lined up with the strakes on the bottom of the boat. No matter how I adjust the bunks the strakes are always positioned on the bunks. I don’t like this because the boat in unbalanced and puts stress on the strakes and bunks. I...

    Homemade bunk slicks

I launched the boat and saw a rotten bunk floating the water. I decided to go hunting anyway. For the rest of the day I wondered how I would get the boat back on the trailer. I decided not to go with carpet for the new bunks. The reason being is that the new pressure treated wood doesn’t use...

    Is fishing cop here?

Greetings from Florida .I found this forum while searching for an alternative to carpeted bunks. A member here (fishing cop) posted a thread and described how he was using cutting board material instead of carpet on trailer bunks. I would like to know more about how well this worked. Can...
